I saw pictures of Buffalo and man oh man do I not want to be there. Just ridiculous how much snow they got and in that short of a time span! They are probably going to be stuck until Thanksgiving! And then once it clears up, they are going to have to go move all of their cars that they left stranded on the highways and such. Going to be a crazy time for them.

got more of my xmas shopping done yesterday, going to try to get some done today (I like to be done by turkey day--then I can sit back and.....write out my xmas cards

well at least its supposed to be almost normal this weekend (buffalo is supposed to get to 70 by monday!---wouldnt want to be there when 8' of snow melts!)

Now they are going to get some insane flooding there as well. Supposed to warm up for them this weekend so that will be a whole new disaster!

Warmer today, almost 60 out. o.O That is quite the difference from our high of 27 yesterday...

60???! /sad panda...only made it into the low 40's here--but at least that means it was above freezing for the first time in over a week

and its the weekend again and a very short week next week (hubby took wednesday off too)....so really short for him!

It didn't feel that warm though, wind was blowing fairly steadily. And it was a cold wind. Supposed to be 50's again tomorrow but with lots of rain. Then 30's on Monday... So possible ice out on the roads tomorrow morning. Yeehaw...

Short week this coming week, woo! 2 days then Thanksgiving break! Now if only my wisdom teeth would stop hurting so I could enjoy the turkey...

wisdom teeth...ewwww...had mine out when I was in my late 20's, dammn doc didnt bother to read the bloody paperss I had to fill out ('do you or anyone in your family have....a problem with anesthesia?' YES I answered...did he bother to ask who and why--NO! did he use the WRONG stuff on me--YES! did I almost NOT wake up--YES) ...dammn man almost killed me and had nothing to say for it afterwards

, yeah I am STILL upset about it. and yeah, hubby refuses to have his taken out (and given the fact that he is now in hid mid 40's I dont really think its an issue, just money the bloody dentist wants in HIS pocket

ibuprofen...I had to take 4--that will stop the pain (or at least dull it for a while

), but ask your doctor.
you could always chop your turkey really small and then mix it into your potatoes and just gum it

I have a blueberry pie to make this year--never made blueberry before, apple, cherry yes, blueberry no...hope its not too different.

Turns out, at least from what I can see, it's actually a canker sore at the back that is causing me pain when I eat. It's on a part of my mouth that when I open to get food in my mouth it stretches it. This causes a good amount of pain. So not really my wisdom tooth at all, just happens to be next to it... So now I'm swishing salt water around to try to prompt it to heal up quickly.

Not sure what we are having. Going to my in-laws so I'm not sure. I do know there will be turkey, mashed potatoes, and rolls so I'm set.

good to hear its not your teeth, though sores can be a (gotta say it) pain....at least they go away and its possible that you will be fine by thursday (given that its only sunday right now)....so just get your vitamins and sleep and hope your body mends quickly! (and good luck with it)....drink shakes until thursday so you dont have to open your mouth much--maybe it will heal faster.

Ya I'm glad its not that either. I really hope its gone by Thursday. Was a bit easier to eat today, didn't have quite the issues with it. Hopefully that means I'm on the right track for getting rid of it. They definitely heal quicker and are easier to treat when they are at the front of your mouth though. Big pain to get to this one...

It was snowing on my drive in today. Then since I was the first one in the snow just blew and blew against my car. Made a nice sheet of ice on the drivers side... That and the snow around my wheels in the wheel wells froze so I had to knock that out when I left today. Sigh... Don't want that stuff...

was quite cold today, had to run some errands and didnt get home for most of the day--really windy out there! Have to make my pie tomorrow....cant wait for the turkey!

And Turkey day is gone. Along with Black Friday. Thank goodness. Wife went out on Black Friday with her mom. I got dragged out later when it wasn't quite as bad. Either way, not a day I want to be out on if at all possible.

I slept all of black friday...was so tired after this exhausting week ....though I do need to go out next week-- my co2 detector died (early turkey day morning

--WOKE me up after I had just finally gotten to sleep and yeah, I was like, no way in &*!! I was going out this week to replace it, it can just blast dang it wait until monday!)
So I have some shopping to do next week, oh boy, a co2 detector and more xmas lights (since only 1/2 of the ones from last year work...not sure why they died since they worked when I put them away....ah oh well, its a never ending cycle).

hows the mouth sore? did it go away by turkey day?

I hate the detectors that go off constantly when they are dying/dead. You have enough power to keep beeping at me, what the heck is wrong with you then? Or if you take the battery out it keeps beeping. Stop! Do not want! We had one that did that in our apartment for a while before they came and fixed it. Super annoying.

It did go away, thankfully. So I was able to eat all the turkey and stuff I wanted.
